All power systems generate heat, and managing this heat in order to optimize the power conversion process and prevent tissue damage is particularly critical for human compatibility. Insulation strategies, novel heat extraction and utilization procedures, and high-efficiency thermal transport from the core generator to the ambient are examples where new approaches are needed.
